Simple Monochrome Paint Program for the Atari ST
------------------------------------------------
Quick Start
-----------
Use the right mouse button to call up the option menu.
Clicking on a function box with the right button will
set its parameters. Click using the left button to
activate the function. Clicking any place other than
the menu will de-activate it and return you to the
main drawing screen.
When setting rectangles and ellipses, press the left
button once quickly to start and then move the mouse
to determine size and shape. When you are happy with
the rectangle or circle, press the left button again
to set it permanently or use the right button to
start all over again.
Most functions within Jiffy Draw are intuitive. Here
are a few hidden features,
Block Options
-------------
Hold down the left button and drag to define your block
area. Let the button go when you are happy with the
chosen section. Move the block around with the mouse
and set it down by pressing the left button once quickly.
The right button exits the block function.
Press the right button immediately after activating this
function to recall the previous block.
After defining your block you can press:
F ... to flip the image
S ... to skew the image
E ... image expansion
After block re-imaging, you will be prompted to press the
left button if you are happy with the new image or the
right button to cancel.
Normal Drawing
--------------
Try holding down function keys F1 through F5 for some
interesting and unusual effects.
Erasing
-------
Use the built-in erasor function or you can set the
block options to 'opaque' and define a custom sized
empty block. Use the block as an erasor by holding
down the left button.
Undo Key
--------
Undoes the last change made to your drawing.
Help Key
--------
A brief screen of reminders.
Text
----
After typing in your text string use the RETURN key
to cycle through all the different text styles.
Text can be moved freely with the mouse until you
press the left button to set it down.
Use the CLR key to toggle text between transparent
and opaque text.
